Economics and Management of Government and International Organizations

LHighlights

Program Director Valentina Mele

Government at any level, from local to global, is essential for the development of society. It is among the most complex current professional settings, owing to the variety of activities and sectors, their interdependencies as well as the interplay between politics, policy and management.

This MSc provides candidates with the hard and soft skills they need to successfully lead and work in this environment.

The program is organized into two main learning blocks:

  • First, students are equipped to carry out policy analysis and evaluation through advanced analytical techniques, to design strategies and to manage projects
  • Second, they are supported in developing their unique professional profile through a careful selection of electives and a wide range of international opportunities.  A choice of majors has been designed to meet the specific interests of students and the needs expressed by the job market.

The program places a strong emphasis on interaction with the professional world. Students are offered a variety of opportunities to explore the main challenges and drivers for choosing a specific career trajectory in the sectors covered, as well as for developing the skills that are needed to successfully work in that sector.

Bocconi is about more than just classes

Your years on campus are about more than just the classes you attend: Bocconi and Milan also promote activities focused on culture, sports, art and sharing ideas. They help make your Bocconi experience an exciting time that is key to personal and professional growth.

A growing campus

Our campus is a safe, multicultural and lively place, located in downtown Milan. Both its historic buildings and new spaces are integrated into the urban fabric to create an active environment, reverberating with university life. Starting in 2019, the campus will expand to include a recreational sports center, a large park and a new student residence hall.

A European and cosmopolitan city

Milan is an open, international and multicultural city, a European metropolis full of events and public services with an unparalleled nightlife. It is a renowned symbol of fashion and design, as well as an important financial, economic and business hub.

Once a Bocconian, always a Bocconian!

You become a member of the Bocconi community when you start your program, joining other students, faculty, staff and Alumni. But Bocconi is not only a real community where you spend your days on campus, but also – and increasingly more so – a community you can get to know through our online social networks.
