Cleaning and linen change
The common areas of the
apartments, the bathrooms and the rooms are cleaned once a week. Generally,
cleanings are made one floor per day. At your arrival, check the day of the
week when the cleaning service will clean your room. In particular, the service
foresees cleaning of bathrooms, cleaning of the kitchen and living area, linen
change (sheets and towels), bed making. You will be provided with: blanket,
sheets and face towels. If you prefer, you can still bring your personal linen,
which you will have to wash/change yourself. Please note that the staff can
clean the room as long as it is tidy.
Utilities and internet access
All utilities (electricity - heating/air conditioning - water) are
included in the housing fee, as well as the WiFi connection which is guaranteed
in all common areas and rooms. See Art.16 of the Bocconi Residence Regulations
(which you can find at the top of this page) for some important notes on the
use of the internet connection.
Maintenance
If you need a technical intervention of maintenance in your
accommodation, you must enter the request within the dedicated portal,
accessible with your Bocconi credentials from the box "Maintenance Requests"
on this page. The
insertion of the request will allow the management of the residence to
intervene promptly to solve the problem you encountered, replacing any
defective parts or making all the necessary checks with the competent
technicians. Please note that the management of the residence and the staff of
Bocconi University can access your accommodation even in your absence in case
of need or urgency.
Kitchens
If you live in the residence,
you will always have a kitchen to prepare your meals: it can be inside your
apartment or shared on the floor, depending on the type of accommodation you
have been assigned. All the kitchens in the Bocconi residences are equipped
with induction stoves, so you can only use pots and pans with the induction symbol.
Dishes, glasses or other utensils are not provided: you can decide to bring them
from home before arriving, although we suggest you wait until your arrival in
the residence to be able to organize yourself by sharing the purchase or use of
the material with your companions. Near the residences you will find
supermarkets and other stores where you can buy everything you need, either on
your own or by sharing.
Laundry service
All Bocconi Residence Halls have laundry areas with automatic
washing machines and dryers. Each washing and drying cycle is charged according
to the rates you will find displayed in the laundry rooms of the individual
residence. The rooms are not provided with washing machines, nor with iron and
ironing board.
