1. Requirements to submit the housing renewal application

If you are a housing assignee at preferential rate in one of the Bocconi residences during the 2022-23 academic year and wish to extend your stay for the 2023-24 academic year as well, you can submit a preferential rate housing renewal application.

In order to confirm you must:

  • Already be a housing assignee at preferential rate at the date of application opening (February 9, 2023)

  • Have earned by the winter exam session a.y. 2022-23 (exams taken by February 4th, 2023) at least the number of credits listed below:

- 11 credits for those enrolled in the first year (bachelor, master of science and integrated master of arts in law programs) in A.Y. 2022-23

- 60 credits for those enrolled in the second year (bachelor, master of science and integrated master of arts in law programs) in A.Y. 2022-23

- 120 credits for those enrolled in the third year (bachelor and integrated master of arts in law programs) in A.Y. 2022-23

- 120 credits for those enrolled in the first year “fuori corso” of a bachelor program in A.Y. 2022-23 intending to enroll in the first year of a master of science program in Bocconi University for A.Y. 2023-24

- 180 credits for those enrolled in the fourth year of an integrated master of arts in law program in A.Y. 2022-23

- 240 credits for those enrolled in the fifth year of an integrated master of arts in law program in A.Y. 2022-23


For students who have participated in an Exchange program during the first semester, the timing of recognition of exams taken abroad will be taken into account. Such students are invited to still apply for housing renewal if interested and to monitor the credit recognition in order to complete it as soon as possible. Please note that no flexibility can be applied in relation to the achievement of the merit requirement for accommodation - credits to be achieved by August 10, 2023.

It is specified that for the achievement of the minimum number of credits required at the end of the winter session there is NO use of bonus credits in addition to the credits actually earned by the student; the number of credits required will be calculated on the basis of the credits provided for each academic year elapsed, starting from the absolute first year of enrollment. It is also specified that for students with disability pursuant to Italian Law n.104/1992 or with civil disability equal or greater than 66%, the number of minimum credits may deviate up to a maximum of 40% from the number of credits indicated above.

  • Declare that you wish to enroll for A.Y. 2023-24 for the first time ever in a regular course year subsequent to the first of a bachelor's, master's, law or PhD program and up to the 1st year “fuori corso” of a bachelor's, master's, law program. Bocconi students enrolled in the 3rd year or 1st year “fuori corso” of a bachelor's degree program in A.Y. 2022-23 can renew the housing assignment if they declare they will enroll in the 1st year of a master's degree program at Bocconi in A.Y. 2023-24. Students with disability pursuant to Italian Law n.104/1992 or with civil disability equal or greater than 66% may also apply for housing renewal if for the a.y. 2023-24 even if they enroll for the absolute first time(*) in the second year “fuori corso”.

It is specified that the years of enrollment are counted for each study cycle starting from the absolute first year of enrollment(*).

  • Meet the economic requirements established by the Lombardy Region for the access to the benefits of the Right to University Education for the a.y. 2023-24 and the necessary documentation: please refer to the dedicated page for all information. If for A.Y. 2023-24 you are in possession of an ISEE/ISEEU parificato certificate with ISEE/ISEEU parificato and/or an ISPE/ISPEU parificato values above the required limits, you can apply for full rate housing renewal (link).

  • Be non-resident, meaning NOT living in one of the “resident” (pdf) or “commuting” (pdf) municipalities.

  • Not fall under any of the grounds for exclusion

If you meet all the requirements indicated above, you will be confirmed for A.Y. 2023-24 in the same housing you occupied in A.Y. 2022-23. In case of assignment, all rules regarding payments, cancellations, and rules of conduct for staying in the Bocconi University residence halls shall be deemed understood and accepted.

2. Application

  • Enter the required data and upload all documents

    Please note: The signature on the documents must be legible, written in full (first and last name), handwritten, not digital and corresponding to the signature on the submitted ID.

  • To successfully submit the application, click on "Confirm Data" and then "Submit Application" by 11:59 p.m. on February 23, 2023

  • After submitting your application, monitor in the "Notifications" area of MyApplication for communications from the Office, which may indicate the need for additions or integrations of documents.

Applications submitted after the deadline and/or with submission methods that do not comply with the prescribed procedure and/or with incomplete documentation will not be taken into consideration.

3. Requirements that you will need to respect in order to use the assigned accommodation

Students who will result housing assignees for a.y. 2023-24 following the procedure described above will be able to use the assigned accommodation only in presence of the following conditions:

REGULAR ENROLLMENT for a.y. 2023-24

> regular enrollment for the absolute first time for a.y. 2023-2024 in the first regular year of a Master of Science (i.e. bachelor Bocconi students going to the Master of Science program)

or

> regular enrollment for a.y. 2023-2024 for the absolute first time in a regular year subsequent to the first of a Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, Integrated Master of arts in Law or PhD program. Also students enrolled in the 1st year “fuori corso” of a Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, Integrated Master of Arts in Law program will be able to reside in the Bocconi residence halls.

It is specified that for students with a disability pursuant to Italian Law n.104/1992 or with civil disability equal or greater than 66% can reside in the Bocconi Residence Halls at a preferential rate also if enrolled for a.y. 2023-2024 in the 2nd year “fuori corso” year of a Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, Integrated Master of Arts in Law program.

It is specified that the years of enrollment are counted for each study cycle starting from the absolute first year of enrollment*.

MERIT REQUIREMENT

For the purpose of eligibility to use the accommodation, the rules established in terms of merit requirements and detailed on the dedicated webpage for the different types of housing applications apply.



Students assigned housing for whom it is subsequently determined that they did not regularly enroll for the a.y. 2023-2024 or did not meet the merit requirements will lose their right (eligibility) to use the Housing Service for the a.y. 2023-2024.


The assignment will be cancelled by the office and students will be required to leave the assigned accommodation immediately. It is specified that the payments due will remain the responsibility of the student even in the event of cancellation of the assignment. For this reason, before submitting a housing application, students are invited to pay particular attention to the provisions regarding the cancellation of the housing assignment, specified on the dedicated webpage.

(*) The absolute first year of enrollment shall be understood as any academic year of first enrollment in any kind of degree program (even if different from the one attended in AY 2023-24) which required the same education qualification as the one needed to access the attended program in AY 2023-24, in any University in Italy or abroad, even if the program has not been completed.
