TRENITALIA

Trenitalia is the national railway service. Milan's main railway station is the Stazione Centrale.

If your train arrives at this station you can reach Bocconi by subway (MM Linea 3 to "San Donato", Stop "Porta Romana" and then four stops by tram n° 9 to "Porta Genova" stop "Via Bocconi"or subway Linea 3 to "San Donato", Stop "Missori" and then four stops by tram n° 15 to "Rozzano" stop "Via Castelbarco") in about half an hour.

ITALOTRENO

Italotreno is a private train company. The train stations in Milan are Milano Centrale (MM linea 3 "Centrale") and Rogoredo (MM linea 3 “Rogoredo”). 

If your train arrives at Centrale station you can reach Bocconi by subway (MM Linea 3 to "San Donato", Stop "Porta Romana" and then four stops by tram n° 9 to "Porta Genova" stop "Via Bocconi"or subway Linea 3 to "San Donato", Stop "Missori" and then four stops by tram n° 15 to "Rozzano" stop "Via Castelbarco") in about half an hour.
If your train arrives at Rogoredo station you can reach Bocconi by subway (MM linea 3 to “Comasina”, stop “Porta Romana” and then four stops by tram n° 9 to "Porta Genova" stop "Via Bocconi").

 

 

BY PLANE

 

There are two airports in Milan:

  • LINATE (about 7 kilometers from the city centre)
  • MALPENSA (about 45 kilometers from the city centre).

Both airports offer banking and money exchange facilities, post office, car rentals, snack bars and restaurants.


 

HOW TO REACH BOCCONI FROM MALPENSA

BY    BUS

 

There is a shuttle-bus service to and from Malpensa connecting with Piazza Luigi di Savoia, next to the Central Station.

A single ticket costs € 10 (€ 16 round trip) and can be purchased at the travel agency located close to the buses point of departure where timetables are also available. The ride takes about 45-50 minutes and buses leave every 20-30 minutes.

BY TRAIN

 

A train service "Malpensa Express" is also connecting the airport with Cadorna Railway Station (city centre).

A single ticket costs € 11 and the train leaves every 30 minutes (first ride from Malpensa starting at 5.26 a.m. and from Cadorna at 5.26 a.m.; last one leaving Malpensa at 23.56 p.m. and Cadorna at 23.58 p.m. (but check the train schedule on MALPENSA EXPRESS).


Since December 2010 the “Malpensa Express” also connects the airport with Centrale Railway Station.

A single ticket costs € 10 and the train leaves every 30 minutes (first ride starting at 5.25 a.m. from Centrale and at 5.26 a.m. from Malpensa; last one leaving Malpensa at 23.26 p.m. and Centrale at 23.25 p.m. but check the train schedule on MALPENSA EXPRESS). 

BY TAXI

 

A taxi from Malpensa to Bocconi could charge around € 80.

 

 

HOW TO REACH BOCCONI FROM LINATE

BY BUS

 

There is an air-bus service to and from Linate connecting with Piazza Luigi di Savoia, next to the Central Station, and Piazzale Dateo (city centre).

A single ticket costs € 5 and can be purchased onboard. The ride takes about 25 minutes and buses leave every 30 minutes (First ride from Centrale at 6 a.m., from Linate at 6.30 a.m.; last ride from Centrale at 23.00 p.m., from Linate at 23.30 p.m.).

Bus n° 73 connects Linate to Piazza San Babila (city centre) in about 20-30 minutes. A bus ticket costs € 1,50 (you will be required to pay the equivalent of one ticket for your luggage).

BY TRAM

 

From Piazza Fontana (close to Piazza San Babila) tram n° 15 to Bocconi.

BY TAXI

 

A taxi from Linate to Bocconi charges approximately € 30.
