How long can an internship last?
Based on the University Regulations, curricular internships for credits shall have a minimum duration of:
Master of Science programs/Law
- 8 weeks full-time (both in Italy and abroad)
- 11 weeks part-time (both in Italy and abroad)
Internships have a maximum duration of 24 weeks (six months)*.
Bachelor of Science program
Internships have a maximum duration of 24 weeks (six months)*.
Curricular internships without credits can be activated for students with a minimum duration of 4 weeks (BSc programs) 8 weeks (MSc and Law programs) and a maximum duration of 24 weeks*. Extracurricular internships can last a minimum of 8 weeks and a maximum of 24 weeks (six months)*.
*According to Bocconi policy, the maximum duration of the internship is 6 months including extensions. Requests for extensions beyond 6 months and within 12 months (the maximum duration of both curricular and extracurricular internships set by current legislation) are evaluated by the University on a case by case basis.
