Language Exchange
Improve a language through conversation
The Language Center organizes each semester a Language Exchange for students; it is a good chance to improve a language through talking.
What is it?
The Language Exchange is a form of autonomous language learning.
It is based on a mutual exchange between learners, speaking different
languages in order to learn one from the other.
Who can participate in
the Language Exchange?
The initiative is open to students enrolled in
Bachelor, Master of Science, Integrated Master of Arts in Law programs and Specialized
Master Programs, Exchange incoming students who already have at least an
elementary level (A2) in the language which they would like to
improve. They must be at least B2 level or mother tongue for the other exchange
language.
When and how is possible to take part in the Language
Exchange?
The Language Exchange is offered at the beginning of every semester. It will be possible to fill in the registration form on the
yoU@B Student Diary, in the Language Center widget.
For 2nd semester 2023-24, registrations will be open from 29 January to 12 February 2024.
How will I
be informed of the name and email address of my language partner?
The information regarding your language partner, will be sent by Bocconi
email address.
Is there a
minimum duration for the Language Exchange?
There is not but, for the effectiveness of the
initiative, we recommend to schedule weekly meetings with a duration not
inferior than three months.
When can I
meet my partner?
You and your partner can decide autonomously when to meet.
Who should
we contact for help/support during the Language Exchange?
You can request support from the Language Lab through the B in Touch procedure available on the yoU@B Student Diary (topic:
LANGUAGES > Various).
Is
there a test at the end of the Language Exchange?
No, there is no test. At the end of the program
each partner should fill in a feedback form.
