Before you go

Guide for selected students
Once selected, the Università Bocconi Program Coordinators will provide the student with a Guide for selected students.
This document lists useful information and the administrative duties that selected students have to take care of.

Administrative duties
Before the beginning of the internship, the intern must access the e-learning course “Internship…let’s go!”, available under “Extracurricular Courses” on the Bocconi e-learning website, using their Bocconi username and password. This form is compulsory and preparatory for completing the internship.
Once all details are finalized, internship documents must be prepared before the start of the internship (only for some institutions). The Internship document ensures the standard insurance coverage for accidents during the job (INAIL) and civil liability.

Special topic workshops
Each year the Markets & External Affairs Division organizes International Week. During International Week you may attend any of the numerous presentations of interest to you and you will also be given the chance to meet students who have already participated in all our International Programs.

Passport
It is the selected student's responsibility to check whether a passport/visa is needed to go abroad.
Visa and legal residence in the Country
Students and graduates willing to accept an internship/placement offer abroad are invited to personally check legal requirements for work in the hosting country according to their nationality and make sure their internship/placement experience takes place in full respect of the hosting country laws.

In case additional documentation to support visa applications is needed, students and graduates can either request an official certificate through the Cert@B procedure or ask the Internship Office for a letter of declaration through the Help&Contact procedure.

Travel recommendations
Health Insurance is strongly recommended (compulsory for the Embassy program), especially for destinations outside the European Union.
Additional health precautions should be verified with the student's family doctor or with any ASL office.
For additional information on the destination country, visit the website http://www.dovesiamonelmondo.it/

Housing
Travel, housing and board expenses are entirely up to the selected candidate. The selected candidates will have to arrange all their own travel formalities (plane ticket, passport, visa, health insurance, etc.), and find their own housing.
When possible, the Job Market Relations Office will provide email contacts of the students already abroad or outgoing in the same period of time.

Internship reports
For first-hand information on the internsips offered in the internship programs, please read the Reports that can be found in the Restricted Area  of our website.

Important notice

Given their location abroad, the University cannot be responsible for safety in the working place and for solvency of the hosting institutions. Therefore, the intern assumes the liability for possible damage caused from the host institution or any third person during the participation in the Program.
