Broaden Your Frame

2023-24 Seminar Series

The Broaden Your Frame Seminar Series aims to provide a platform for discussion with people from different sectors, often deliberately unrelated to the economic, managerial, legal, and financial worlds discussed in the classroom every day.

Students will have the opportunity to meet philosophers, writers, scientists, researchers, artists, historians, architects, and designers and challenge themselves with experiences and perspectives that will help them appreciate the world in its complexity. This approach encourages critical thinking, an aptitude to think 'outside the box', and emotional intelligence. All important aspects for the development of responsible leadership.

The Broaden Your Frame offer includes different Seminar Series throughout the year on several topics, for example, Arts and Culture, Diversity and Inclusion, Ethics and Moral Philosophy

The information on each seminar series (calendar, speakers, etc.) will be announced on this website page as soon as available.

Attendance and Earning Credits

To pass the activity and obtain the 2 credits for Curricular Supplementary Activities, students must:

  • participate in 5 of the 6/7 seminars of the series;
  • complete an assignment (a “triple-tweet,” i.e. a short freeform essay – maximum 840 characters – on the experience) in BBoard at the end of each seminar, following the indications they will receive;
  • submit the final assignment, which must be completed in the classroom at the end of one of the seminars of the series usually the last, but the exact date will be indicated in the calendar  and will be used as an assessment test.
