During my last year as an undergraduate student, I spent a semester abroad at New York University, as part of the Bocconi International Exchange Program. I don’t have words to describe how much that experience made me grow professionally and as a person. Then, during my MSc in Economic and Social Sciences, my good academic standing allowed me to take part in a special program with Yale University. Going there was a life changer for me. I was determined to make the most out of that year. I took all courses, comparing myself to some of the best economics candidates in the world. It was in that moment when I best appreciated how much Bocconi had trained me for the international stage. I felt motivated, and I decided I was ready for that experience. That was what led me to start a PhD program in Economics at Yale.
