IT Education Center at a Glance
The IT Education Center (ITEC) is the center that manages ICT education at Bocconi University, offering supplementary courses and ICT certifications.
Faculty members are chosen among the best professionals in the field of ICT education and tutors are selected among the best students at Bocconi.
Supplementary Courses
Supplementary courses complete the University teaching offer, allowing students to enrich their profiles.
ITEC offers several courses focusing on the most widely used ICT applications and topics (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, coding with Python, Java, VBA and R, Business intelligence, Big Data, Bitcoin and Blockchain, SQL, Web editing, Photoshop and Artificial Intelligence).
Curricular Supplementary Activities
In addition to supplementary courses, the IT Education Center offers curricular supplementary activities for Master of Science students.
These activities can be included in the study plan as supplementary activities worth two credit points (except for the MSc in Data Science and Business Analytics, the MSc in Cyber Risk Strategy and Governance and the MSc in Transformative Sustainability programs, whose students can take part in curricular supplementary activities by recording 2 credit points earned as additional courses).
ICT Certifications
ICDL (International Certification of Digital Literacy) is an internationally recognized certification attesting the ability to use the main IT tools.
ITEC is a Test Center for ICDL certifications, offering weekly exam sessions and discounted prices for Bocconi students. Completion of the ICDL certification (or another recognized certification) is a requirement in order to take the Computer science and Computer skills for law exams.
ITEC is also Test Center for the following ICT Certifications:
- ICDL Advanced (Word Processing, Presentation, Spreadsheets, Database)
- Digital Marketing
- EPM (European Project Management)
- MOS (Microsoft Office Specialist).
