APPLICATIONS ARE OPEN!

Our Summer School 2023 for High School Students offers 2 options: on campus and online. Some information applies to both formats, while other details are format-specific.

General Details

How to Apply

Application is open to high school students in their third-to-last and second-to-last year in Italy or abroad. Admission will be decided on the basis of both academic achievement and suitability for the program.

Steps to apply:

  • register on the My Application Portal (www.unibocconi.eu/admissionsportal) 
  • fill out the online application with the information and documents required
  • select 2 preferred labs and 2 alternatives

    Required elements to apply:
  • student transcripts in English or Italian with subjects studied and marks obtained (including a school profile or a conversion table indicating the min. and max. achievable grade, if available)
  • personal profile and motivation

    Other elements:

  • SAT/ACT (not mandatory!)
  • English language proficiency* (language certificates, native speaker status, etc.)

    *Alternative options are available to fulfill the language proficiency. Detailed information about this will be provided in the application procedure.

Sample Schedule ON CAMPUS Program

The on campus program includes live classes usually scheduled between 9:30am and 12:30pm, as a general rule.

Students will take part in a company visit and will work on a group project that will be presented in the last class.
Each course schedule will be made available to participants before the start of the program.

Participation Fee for ON CAMPUS Program

Early bird rate: 2,200 euros, for all students applying before 15 March 

Regular rate: 2,400 euros, for all students applying starting on 16 March 

Students in all rounds of application can benefit from maximum one of the following 200 discounts:

  • son/daughter of a Bocconi alumnus/a
  • son/daughter of a Bocconi staff or faculty member (non-teaching staff with permanent contracts, tenured faculty members, faculty members with tenure track, lecturers)
  • brother/sister of a current Bocconi student
  • brother/sister of another student participating in the same Summer School
  • student participating in both Summer School for High School Students and Summer School in Law

Refund Policy

  • A total refund is applicable if the on campus program is moved online due to covid-19.
  • First round enrolled students who withdraw by May 2, 2023 are eligible for a participation fee refund (€350 administrative fee applies).

Housing

For a full Bocconi life experience, Summer School participants may choose to stay in one of our university residence halls, all walking distance from the campus. Here you can find all the information related to our Bocconi dorms.

Price
1600 euro (for the full period, 2 weeks)

Housing payment will be processed during the enrollment phase (after admission results).
There is no meal plan provided in the fee. However, students can access the canteens and cafeterias on campus and there are plenty of restaurants and bar nearby offering a wide variety of food options at affordable prices. 
In the weeks before the arrival we will provide students with information on the logistic: how to reach our campus, breakfast/lunch/dinner options on campus and nearby the university, public transport info, etc.

Sample Schedule ONLINE Program

The online program includes live and recorded sessions, with live sessions scheduled between 2pm and 5pm (Italian time), as a general rule.
During the week students will also work on a group project that will be presented in the last class.
Each course schedule will be made available to participants before the start of the program.
The timing for the release of the asynchronous activities are decided by the professors.

Extracurricular activities may be organized outside the typical class time. In this case they are likely to be offered in two different slots to accommodate most of the time zones.

Learning Tools

To participate in the Online Summer School, a PC, a webcam and a stable internet connection are required.
Courses will be delivered through Blackboard, the Bocconi e-learning platform (check here for browser support). Students will be able to access the platform on the first day of the program.

Please note that participation in the Summer School is independent from the selection process for Bocconi Bachelor of Science programs.
If you are graduating in 2024 you can apply during the "Early selection session": updated info will be available soon.
