Program Structure

This LLM is taught by a Faculty made up of the most renowned experts and practitioners from leading international academic institutions around the world and international law firms, as well as from businesses and governmental authorities.

The Part-Time program is divided into:


4 Compulsory Courses

  • Internet Technologies
  • Intellectual Property and Competition Law in Digital Age: substantive and jurisdictional aspects
  • Intellectual Property and Technology: Patents, Trademarks, Industrial Designs, Copyright and Technology
  • Competition and IP Law
  • Online Distribution
  • Legal English Drafting
  • Free Speech and Human Rights Law in the Cyber Space: substantive and jurisdictional aspects
    • Freedom of Expression on the Internet
    • The Right to Be Forgotten on the Internet
    • International Human Rights Law in the Internet Era

2 Elective Courses, to be chosen among the following indicative topics:

  • Employment Law in Digital Platforms and Markets                                             
  • Cyber Security
  • General Data Protection Regulation              
  • Fintech & Block Chain

  • Data Law and Data-Driven Innovation Law: substantive and jurisdictional aspects
  • Data Safeguarding and Open Data
  • Data Promotion
  • Big Data

2 Elective Courses, to be chosen among the following indicative topics:

  • M&A in the Digital Sector                                         
  • Digital Media and Regulation                            
  • Technology and International Economic Law
  • Robot Law-Legal Start-Up & Technology

Practical Activities

Students may take a curricular internship consistent with the educational objectives of the LLM in the final part of the program. Alternatively, students may choose a “clinical work”, a short-term assignment by an external partner focusing on specific subjects. They may also choose to complete an individual research paper (final thesis).

All courses will take place from September 2021 until April 2023 and all practical activities will take place between May and July 2023.

The programs awards 61 ECTS credits in total.
