Software and Licenses for Ph.D. students

PhD students have the chance to get some software installed on their personal laptops.

For the installation you can come to Via Gobbi 5 (Library building), 4th floor, room 409:
-Monday to Thursday from 9:00am-12:00pm or from 2:00-4:00pm
-Friday from 9:00am-12:30pm

The software available is listed below.
Matlab
SAS  -  not compatible with Windows 8 or MAC
Scientific Workplace  -  not compatible with MAC
SPSS
Stata (Intercooled version only) - this licence lasts 6 months from the purchase date and is available for installation twice a year: end of January and beginning of July; there is a limited number of licenses available, thus an early installation request  is recommended
Latex - can be downloaded for free in the internet

Please remember that desktop pcs placed in PhD students’ offices belong to the university and may be subject to adjustments and formatting without notice, thus no personal or work documents should be saved on them.
