Major in Fashion and Design

This major is thought for students that want to orient their career in the global fashion, luxury and design industry. In particular, the major focus on the interconnectedness among the development of original products (artistic creation) and the manufacture, distribution and communication processes. For this reason a deep understanding and appreciation of the complexity of artistic creation together with a specific knowledge about the management of fashion and design companies are the two distinctive key features of the courses included in the major. Students choosing this major orient their career as managers and consultants working in both Italian and foreign fashion design firms like Bulgari, Chanel, Gucci, Alessi, B&B, Flos, Swatch Group, Bottega Veneta, Hermes, Red Valentino.

The major structure includes 2 compulsory workshops, 2 workshops chosen by the student and 2 elective courses chosen among all the elective courses  of the Bocconi Master of Science programs. The two compulsory Major workshops are:

> Major workshop 1: Design Thinking and Business Innovation

> Major workshop 2: Managerial Issues in Made in Italy Industries

> Major workshop 3: 1 workshop chosen from a short list (made up of all 3 and 4 workshops, open to all MSc students)
