Process and Timeline: How and when to apply

Italian, international and Bocconi applicants may apply for the program through a specific online application as outlined below.

Online applications must be submitted via the “MyApplication” admission portal.

International applicants

This section applies to International applicants coming from non-Italian Universities.

They can apply only with a GMAT/GRE test score
They need to obtain the test score report by the application deadline, in order to complete the application form.


Elements of evaluation: 


Applicants are required to pay the €100 application fee through the Bocconi store, selecting "admissions office" and "international applicants MSc programs".



Italian applicants

This section applies to students who are graduating or have already graduated from an Italian University (other than Bocconi).

Curricular requirements

Italian applicants are subject to specific academic requirements related to their Bachelor degree's field of study.
Failure to meet such requirements will result in the applicant not being considered for the selection process.

Italian applicants graduating from the following degrees fulfill the academic requirements to access the program: L-8 / L-30 / L-31 / L-35

Admission test

Italian applicants can apply with:

  • GMAT/GRE test score or
  • Online Bocconi test score.

For both options, they need to obtain the test score report by the application deadline, in order to complete the application form.


The online Bocconi test accepted for this program is the same as the one accepted to apply for other regular Master of Science programs.

  • Students who have already applied to a regular Master of Science program and who have taken the online Bocconi test by 22 March 2023, can use the same test score report in order to apply for this program.

  • Students who are only applying to this program may take the online Bocconi test starting from 27 March 2023 to 24 May 2023 (last test date).

Generally speaking, Italian applicants have two test attempts.

  • If the applicant has already attempted the online Bocconi test twice to apply for regular MSc programs, they will have to choose one of the test score reports to apply for this program as well.
  • If the applicant has already taken the online Bocconi test once (by 22 March), they can use the test attempt left and take a second test from 27 March to 24 May 2023 to apply for this program.
  • If the applicant is attempting the online Bocconi test for the first time, the test can be taken twice, from 27 March to 24 May 2023.

Please note that the last test date will be 24 May 2023 for applying for the Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence (with booking completed by 22 May 2023).

Applicants are required to pay the €100 application fee through the Bocconi store.   


Bocconi applicants

This section applies to students who are graduating or have already graduated from a Bocconi Bachelor program.

Applicants with an undergraduate degree from Bocconi are exempted from taking any tests or paying the application fee. 

No additional points will be assigned for internships, exchange programs, or other curricular activities.


Curricular requirements

If you are not enrolled to the BAI program (L-35), you must have obtained at least 30 credits in specific academic fields and disciplines (SSD) in order to meet the minimum curricular requirement for accessing this program.

Incoming exchange applicants

This section applies to international applicants coming from non-Italian Universities, who have spent/are spending a semester at Bocconi as incoming exchange students.
Please note that incoming visiting students (enrolled to single courses) do follow the process dedicated to international applicants (see info above).


Curricular requirement:

In order to be considered for the selection, applicants must have at least 4 exams passed in Bocconi with a GPA of 26/30.


Elements of evaluation:

  • Educational activities (exams) with grades out of thirtieths passed in Bocconi
  • Grade point average of exams passed in your home University: the undergraduate GPA and transcripts are an indication of the applicant's previous academic performance
  • Curriculum vitae / Resumée and Personal Statement


Incoming exchange applicants are exempted from taking any tests or paying the application fee.
