Request to Change Program

Bocconi students admitted in the “Early Session” can request to change their Master of Science program of admission by writing to: graduate.admissions@unibocconi.it by 11 November 2020, clearly specifying which alternative (one option) they would like to access:

  • Towards programs expressed as alternatives compared to the program of admission, or
  • Towards programs not expressed during the selection process

Please note that requests to change to Special Programs such as CEMS/CHINA/ESSEC will not be evaluated, if these programs were not expressed during the selection process: these programs require extra evaluation documentation that cannot be submitted after the admission results.

Please consider that at this stage the spots available may be reduced and for certain programs in which the number of applications received during the selection phase was already far greater than the spots available, the total slots have been fully filled and therefore cannot be assigned (e.g. IM/FINANCE/CEMS/AFC in English).

Results of Program Change Request

The outcome of the request will be evaluated based on the ranking score and the spots available. The results will be communicated through the My Application portal by 16 November (in time to confirm enrollment) and may be:

  • Positive: the change will be made automatically and students will see a specific notification in the My Application portal. They can then confirm their place by completing enrollment for the new program of admission by the deadline (17 November 2020);
    Important: In this case it is not possible to request to return to the original program of admission, i.e., if a program change request is formalized, it is considered definitive and will also be processed in the system.

  • Negative: the change cannot be made due to the ranking score and the spots available. A notification will be provided in the My Application portal. The student may then decide whether to enroll in the initial program of admission.


Enrolled Students

Request to Change Program

Starting on 18 November, enrolled students may request a program change towards programs expressed as alternatives to the program of enrollment or towards programs that were not chosen during the selection process (and only if a program change was not already requested after admission).

Please note that requests to change to Special Programs such as CEMS/CHINA/ESSEC will not be evaluated, if these programs were not expressed during the selection process: these programs require extra evaluation documentation that cannot be submitted after the admission results.

These requests must be sent by email (graduate.admissions@unibocconi.it) by 24 March 2021, clearly specifying which Master of Science course the student would like to access (multiple program requests will NOT be evaluated).

Results of Program Change Request 

The Admissions Office will collect all requests received and evaluate the feasibility of changes based on the ranking score and spots available (also taking into consideration spots available after admitted students fail to enroll and the total number of requests). Feedback will be given to all students who submitted applications by 31 March 2021.

Results of the request may be:

  • Positive: the change will be made automatically and students will see a specific notification in the My Application portal. Students can print the updated enrollment application again with the new program of enrollment and submit it in the Enrollment portal in the dedicated section ("Additional Documents”).

  • Negative: the change cannot be made due to the ranking score and the spots available. A notification will be provided in the My Application portal. The student will therefore remain enrolled in the initial course of admission.
