CEMS semester abroad in AY 2024-2025

Application specificities

You will have to register online and complete the CEMS application for your CEMS term abroad on www.cems.org/selection from 28 February 2024 to 5 March 2024 (23:55 CET):

  • personal information
  • express a preference on which term you would prefer to go abroad

The final allocation will take into consideration the average weighted on credits, according to the following formula:

Student academic weighted credit average (WA) * [Number of credits earned (NC) divided by the maximum number of credits that can be earned (MAX NC)]

The calculation of credits includes all the exams of the 1st semester of the 1st Master of Science year (study plan officially taken by 3 February 2024 included, end of the ordinary exam session). Exams that are not part of the 1st semester of the 1st Master of Science year study plan (internship, languages, anticipated exams and anticipated curricular supplementary activities) are not included. Please, check that all your exams are registered at Punto Blu, once the exam session is over.

It is furthermore specified that for courses subdivided into modules: the credit points and the grades earned for the single modules passed will be taken into account and they can be viewed by printing the unofficial academic transcript at the Punto Blu.

In case of an equivalent score, a higher Bachelor's Degree will determine the final allocation. If applicants have equal final scores and equal Bachelor Degree Grades and there is one last slot available for a specific destination, the students' preferences linked to the destination will be used as criteria in order to set the ranking. In case of equal preferences, the Bocconi CEMS Team will allocate the candidate by ballot.

Although your choice can not be guaranteed, we will do our best to allocate you following your preferences.

Kindly be informed that changes to your preference submission will not be possible after 5 March 2024 deadline. Additionally, please be aware that your assigned CEMS Host School cannot be modified and participation in the CEMS semester abroad at your assigned Host School is a mandatory component of your CEMS curriculum.

Given the number of slots available in the CEMS brochure for international mobility in 2024-2025 and the size of the CEMS class, there may be vacant slots at CEMS Partner Schools. It is important to note that any slots remaining unfilled after allocation will not be subject to negotiation or reallocation.

Carefully check the “CEMS Ranking Presentation” document, where you will find application process and timeline, as well as on selection and information on the program.

  • TSINGHUA does not accept Chinese nationals including students from Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan;
  • HKUST do not accept Chinese citizen students;

  • students cannot apply in the country where they completed their Undergraduate Degree.
  • students who will be selected for the University of Sydney (USYD) must have a valid IELTS (7.0 overall and a minimum result of 6.0 in each band).
