Italian Language Courses

Fall 2021 Italian Language Courses

For the Fall 2021 semester the International Student Desk will organize online Italian language courses to help exchange students familiarize themselves with the Italian language and culture and acquire useful everyday conversational skills.

The following courses will be offered to exchange students:
Intensive Italian Language & Culture online course beginning before the start of Bocconi classes
Extended Italian Language & Culture online course held throughout the semester

The Intensive and Extended online Italian courses are optional, non-credit granting extracurricular courses, therefore not included in the official Bocconi transcript nor in the students' study plan. No final test is foreseen. Upon request, students will receive a certificate of  participation (which does not include any grades or credits). 
Students can choose to register for one or both language courses. There is no need to register for the intensive course in order to attend the extended one, which is not intended as a follow-up to the intensive course (no level upgrades are foreseen).

2/2,5-hour classes a day in the afternoon, from Monday to Saturday + 4 additional hours of tutoring sessions (and 1 office hour)

Intensive Italian Language & Culture online course

A full-immersion two-week course offered before the start of Bocconi classes. Expert teachers will take students on a fascinating journey through Italian and Milanese culture, while helping them acquire useful everyday conversational skills in Italian. 


How to register:
In June nominated exchange students will receive instructions on how to register for the Intensive Italian Language and Culture Online Course.
Registered students are required to pay the registration fee, according to the instructions that will be sent.
Please note: only registered students will be able to complete the payment process; only students who complete the payment process will be officially enrolled in the course. 
A refund is foreseen only if the course is cancelled due to lack of participants.

Extended Italian Language online course

An extended course held throughout the semester, from late September to early November, 2021.
This course, meant for beginners, pre-elementary and elementary level learners, is designed to provide students with a general understanding of the Italian language and culture as well as raise students' awareness on aspects related to intercultural communication. It will also allow students who are already familiar with the Italian language to improve their skills, practice and expand their grammar and vocabulary, while strengthening their fluency. During the course, students will have the chance to work on all aspects of the Italian Language through an integrated, practical and interactive method: listening, reading, writing, speaking (from survival-level Italian up to a more confident and articulate use of the language).

How to register:
In early September nominated exchange students will receive instructions on how to register for the Extended Italian Language and Culture Online Course.

Registered students are required to pay the registration fee, according to the instructions that will be sent.
Please note: only registered students will be able to complete the payment process; only students who complete the payment process will be officially enrolled in the course. 

A refund is foreseen only if the course is cancelled due to lack of participants.
No refund is foreseen in case the course overlaps with Bocconi classes (before registering for the course in early September, please carefully check your Bocconi class timetable at www.unibocconi.eu/classtimetable).
