Application and Selection Timeline (Step 1 by Bocconi)
Online application at
Punto Blu from 26 September to 6 October 2024 (11:00pm). By this deadline students also
have to upload the following dossier (in English):
- Curriculum Vitae
- Academic Transcript
- Two Letters of Recommendation:
- Letter 1 focused on academic ability and potential, coming from someone such as a current or former professor.
- Letter 2 focused on personal characteristics and leadership potential
- Two Essays:
- Essay 1: Personal Statement (up to 500 words) including your motivations for applying for this program,your academic or career goal after graduation, and anything related to your special skills, work experiences, etc..
- Essay 2: Answer one of the following two questions (up to 500 words)
- Option A: What characteristics do you think are essential to global leadership in today’s world and why?
- Option B: In what ways do you anticipate that understanding China will help you accomplish your personal and professional goals?
- Scanned Color Copy of Passport (page with data and picture)
- Application video: a short video to introduce yourself (1-3 minutes) — only for Selection Step 2 by Peking
Before applying for this Program, you should also read the "Student Agreement" of Peking University that you can request by writing to futureleader@gsm.pku.edu.cn. Each admitted student will have to sign this Agreement with Peking University where there are specified Peking's program policies, its academic rules, the withdrawal fees and Peking's expectations on the duration of the Program.
Individual Interview by Bocconi representatives between in the second half of October, 2024.
Selection Results of Step 1 by Bocconi will be posted by the end of October.
Students, who pass Selection Step 1 by Bocconi, will have access to Selection Step 2 managed directly by Peking University (end of October). Students will have to upload approximately the same documents requested for the Application Step 1 at Bocconi on the Peking online portal. You can check for more details on the Peking website. Secondly, students will be interviewed by Peking representatives in mid November. Candidates will receive all the detailed instructions on Selection Step 2 directly from Peking University.
The final decision on the admission to the Double Degree Program after Step 2 is up to Peking University. Selected students (up to 5) will be informed by Peking University by the second half of December (during the second year of the BIEM program).
