Free Mover Summer Law

The information here available reflects the current situation to date.

Students can attend Summer Programs in Summer 2024. Nevertheless, whether the overall conditions would not safeguard the wellbeing and security of students, Bocconi University does not guarantee that students will be able to attend Summer Programs blended/in person.

Before applying, you are required to read carefully the Bocconi Students TRAVEL RISK POLICY, available on yoU@B – International SOS and the Travel Risk Policy Exceptions for A.Y. 2024/25: in-person Summer Programs 2024 will not be authorized in the countries where the student Exchange is suspended.



ELIGIBILITY & DESTINATIONS

The Free Mover Summer is open to Bocconi students from the five-year Integrated Master of Arts in Law who meet the requirements and who can attend a Summer Program once, in the summer of their third or fourth year. Participation in a program in the summer of the first year, second year or before will not be recognized, as well as the participation in a program in the summer of the fifth year.

The application to the Free Mover Summer will be on-hold and the recognition platform will not be available until the Bocconi requirements are met. If an applicant does not meet the requirements before the beginning of the Summer Program, the application to the Free Mover Summer will be declined.

Academic Requirements

3rd year students

Enrolment year: students regularly enrolled in the 3rd year of the five-year Integrated Master of Arts in Law

Credits: at least 100% of 1st year, 60% of 2nd year credits registered. The calculation includes all the exams officially registered in the academic career by February 3, 2024 (end of the ordinary session).

In addition, applicants must meet the academic requirements of the partner school (if any).


4th
year students

Enrolment year
: students regularly enrolled in the 4th of the five-year Integrated Master of Arts in Law

Credits: at least 100% of 1st year, 60% of 2nd year credits and 60% of 3rd year credits registered. The calculation includes all the exams officially registered in the academic career by February 3, 2024 (end of the ordinary session).
In addition, applicants must meet the academic requirements of the partner school (if any).

Language Requirements

3rd and 4th year students

Level B2 (minimum passing grade of 24/30) or higher for English, proved by one of the options listed below:

Secondary school diploma awarded in English;

English-speaking country citizenship;

English International language certificates of Level B2 with a minimum passing grade of 24/30*;

Bocconi English exam of level B2 (with a minimum passing grade of 24/30).

*the certification must be among the ones recognized by the Bocconi Language Center (see: International
recognized certifications table).
IELTS INDICATOR and TOEFL ESSENTIALS are NOT recognized.

To check the certificate validity, please take into consideration the following:

  • the language certification must have been awarded no more than 3 years prior to the beginning of the Summer Program (2 years for the TOEFL and IELTS test). For the minimum scores accepted, please refer to the tables below.
  • in addition, applicants must meet the language requirements of the partner school (if any).

Destinations

Università Bocconi has selected a number of Partner schools from its international network which offer interesting and educationally valid Summer Programs. The following is the only list considered valid for the recognition of courses offered in the Summer Program through institutions abroad.


Students can submit applications for other alternatives that must be examined individually in advance by the Study Abroad office, before applying to the Free Mover Summer The request, accompanied by a letter of motivation and information material on the University/Program, has to be submitted through B in Touch, available on yoU@B Diary, to the Study Abroad Office.
