What is Erasmus?

A new  EU Programme in the fields of education, training, youth and sport for the period 2014-2020 has been recently launched: Erasmus +.

The Erasmus + Programme builds on the achievements of more than 25 years of European programmes in the fields  of education, training and youth. It is the result of the integration of the European programmes implemented by the Commission during the period 2007-2013, and goes beyond these programmes, by promoting synergies and cross-fertilisation throughout the different fields of action.

Erasmus+ will provide opportunities for over 4 million Europeans to study, train, gain work experience and volunteer abroad. In addition to providing grants for individuals, Erasmus+ will support transnational partnerships among Education, Training and Youth institutions and organisations to foster cooperation and bridge the worlds of Education and work in order to tackle the skills gaps we are facing in Europe. It will also support national efforts to modernise Education, Training and Youth systems.

Under this Programme, Bocconi students can have a study or training experience abroad, taking advantage of the funds provided.
