Refund Procedure

a.y. 2022-23

General rules.

If you are a student who:

  • has submitted a withdrawl from studies and a reimbursement request for the first installment-advance (We invite you to read carefully the regulations published on the website by the Admissions Office regarding requirements, methods and deadlines);
  • was assigned a merit based award (100% full tuition waiver) or a broad support which entails the reimbursement of academic tuition already paid;
  • has permanently left the room assigned and asked for the refund of housing deposit (link soon available);

in order to be able to make the bank transfer, you must indicate a bank account. We remind you that the student must be the holder.

The Fees, Funding and Housing office will refund the advance of first installment in favor of students who have assigned a benefit ONLY after it has verified that the student is in the academic year 2022-2023 regularly enrolled in the first year or regularly enrolled in the following year. For this reason, students who in the academic year 2022-2023 will be "enrolled with reserve" (or have an enrollment subject to reserve) will not be able to receive a refund of the advance of first installment, paid for the academic year 2022-2023 until the dissolution of the reserve itself.


Reimbusement of the first installment - advance (withdrawal from studies)

The request has to be submitted along with the withdrawal request and refund can only be made after the beginning of the a.y. 2022-23 (We invite you to read the regulations published on the website by the Admissions Office regarding the requirements, methods and deadlines).

The refund will be processed between september and october 2022.

We also remind you that you must meet all the conditions forseen by Admission Office (therefore we invite you to verify all the requirements pubblished on the website).

Reimbursement for ISU eligible students

The refund of the first installment-advance will be completed by the end of December 2022 and it will be credited on the bank account in your name that you have indicated on Punto Blu [Home > Personal data > Data Bank Account (Refunds)].

The refund will cover the entire amount of the advance payment — first installment paid, including the regional tax.

Please insert the bank account details on Punto Blu by 30/09/2022.

Housing deposit

In order to confirm a room reservation, students are required to pay a €500,00 housing deposit as a guarantee of full compliance with all the commitments undertaken when accepting the housing assignment.

The payment of the housing deposit must be carried out by credit card through Paytool as indicated in the message sent after completing a room reservation.

The housing deposit will be returned to the student by january 2023, interest-free, and only after the final check-out from the room assigned. For residual assigments (after january 2023) the housing deposit will be returned within 2 month after the end of the assigment period.

The deposit will be refunded under condition that the student has completed all the due housing payments and that he/she has no debts towards Bocconi University or the residence management. In addition, in case the student will not take in charge the possible restoration costs for damages made to the structures of the residence or for recovery of sanitary and general conditions of the room, the housing deposit will also be used for covering the related expenses.

When foreseen, the housing deposit refund will be made on a bank account in the student’s name that he/she will need to register on Punto Blu >Home > Personal data > Data Bank Account (Refunds).

The housing deposit will not be refunded in case of “termination” of the student’s housing assignment due to lack of the requirements (enrollment in a.y. 2022-23 and possession of the merit requirements, the latter only for students enrolled in years subsequent to the first) which were not verifiable at the moment of notification of the housing assignment, and according to what indicated in the relevant sections of the Housing Application Requirements and Regulations for each housing application.

The housing deposit will not be refunded in case of “early withdrawal” and in case of "early withdrawal due to graduation or intership" and will be witheld as security deposit as a compensation for the right of withdrawal, according to what indicated in the Housing Application Requirements and Regulations.

Merit based awards

The refund of the first installment-advance for students who have been awarded with a 100% full tuition waiver will be completed by the end of february 2023 and it will be credited on the bank account in your name that you have indicated on Punto Blu [Home > Personal data > Data Bank Account (Refunds)].

Please insert the bank account details on Punto Blu by 30/09/2022.

Students with Disabilities Equal or Greater Than 66%

The refund of the first installment-advance for students with disabilites and with a 100% full tuition waiver will be completed by the end of january 2022 and it will be credited on the bank account in your name that you have indicated on Punto Blu [Home > Personal data > Data Bank Account (Refunds)].
