Science of learning and augmented intelligence programme
This supports research developing basic theoretical insights and fundamental knowledge about principles, processes and mechanisms of learning and about augmented intelligence. The following research is supported:
•learning in individuals and in groups across a wide range of domains at one or more levels of analysis including molecular or cellular mechanisms, brain systems, cognitive, affective and behavioural processes and social or cultural influences;
•augmented intelligence that clearly articulates principled ways in which human approaches to learning and related processes can be improved through interaction with others or the use of artificial intelligence in technology.Foreign organisations may apply provided they do so in consortium with US organisations. The proposer must explain why local support is not feasible and why the foreign organisation can carry out the activity more effectively.
