Bocconi Summer School 2021 for International University Students will be held online from 28 June to 16 July 2021.
Each course consists of 48 hours of online teaching activities, both asynchronous and synchronous. These may include, for instance:
- live sessions with professors and classmates (such as lectures, debates, Q&A periods, real-time exercises, guest speakers)
- recorded sessions
- consultation of specific material (slides, documents, etc.), participation in online forums.
In addition to the above activities, students will be required to complete individual or class assignments.
All courses run from Monday to Friday. Synchronous activities will generally be scheduled between 2pm and 5pm CEST. The exam will be held online on the last day of the program (16 July - time tbd).
The specific course schedule will be available at the start of the program.
To participate in the Online Summer School, a PC, a webcam and a stable internet connection are required.
Courses will be delivered through Blackboard, the Bocconi e-learning platform (check here for browser support). Students will be able to access the platform on the first day of the program (28 June).
The Summer School participation fee is €1,400 and it includes the following:
- academic program, including access to all materials via the e-learning platform and course-related guest speakers
- use of electronic library services and resources
- online workshops and social activities (tbd)
- official certificate (electronic format).*
*Students earn 6 credits upon completing the course and passing the exam (to be held online on 16 July).
A reduced participation fee (€1,200) is applicable to:
- students enrolled in a bachelor program at Bocconi partner universities/schools (see list here)
- first-round applicants
- deferral students (first round - 2020 edition).
Refund is applicable in the first round only: enrolled students who withdraw by 13 May 2021 are eligible for a participation fee refund with the exclusion of €250 for administrative fee.
How to Apply
Bocconi Summer School offers a three-week study program open to motivated international students (students from non-Italian universities) enrolled in a bachelor program, preferably in their third-to-last, second-to-last or last year of undergraduate studies.
Admission will be decided on the basis of both academic achievement and suitability for the program.
In order to apply, candidates must fill out the online application through the My Application portal. Applicants are asked to select their desired course and one alternative, allowing the Summer School Team to better allocate the available places and in case the preferred course does not reach the minimum number of requests to be activated.
Applications must include the following elements, which must be uploaded or specified in My Application:
- Student records including exams passed and marks obtained during the undergraduate program;
- CV/resume and motivation (up to 500 words).
During the application, candidates will be required to declare an English language proficiency equal to or greater than the B2 level (according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Language). This is the minimum level required to successfully participate in coursework. Applicants are not required to upload any certificate.

Applicants may view their results by accessing My Application Portal with their personal login information.
In order to confirm their place, admitted students will receive all necessary information to complete the enrollment and they will be required to pay the tuition fee applicable to the course by the enrollment and payment deadline.
