Program Structure
The Master of Quantitative Finance and Risk Management is completely held in English and taught by a highly qualified faculty, which includes teaching and research staff from Università Bocconi and other top universities.The learning process has a practical orientation and takes the form of structured lectures backed up by practical applications through case studies and visiting speakers as well as project works and individual research.The program is completed in 12 months (9 months full-time). To qualify for the Specialized Master Diploma participants must successfully complete 18 courses (fundamentals, core and electives) and an individual project or an internship report. The fundamentals and core courses are compulsory and will be taken by everyone. The electives are selected from an extensive list and will reflect each student's individual choices and interests.

- 5 core courses (II term);
- 6 electives, from a list of about 15 courses (III term);
- individual project/internship report.
The first term (Fundamentals) covers mainly introductory courses with the aim of establishing a common language between the faculty and the participants and to smooth out any differences in academic and working backgrounds. Find out more about the first term courses.
The second term (Core courses) is intended to emphasize different fields of finance, combining quantitative and risk management subjects. The focus is on the most technical aspects of asset pricing and hedging while highlighting institutional, organizational and regulatory aspects. Find out more about the second term courses.

A final project or internship report concludes the program.
Attendance and program assessment
Mafinrisk is a full-time program; classes are held everyday from Monday through Friday. Regular attendance is needed to complete the program successfully. Students are required to attend at least 80% of each course and are expected to be fully involved in all activities the program offers. Each course is assessed on the basis of an-end-of-course examination or final project. In some courses class participation and oral report presentations might be graded.
Credit points
The total number of credits to be obtained is 66: 62 (classes) + 4 (final project or internship report).
