- Students have to attend and pass all compulsory courses and 4 elective courses.

Third year (34° cycle)
- At the end of the third year students have to present their mid-term work on the doctoral thesis (at least a first research paper is expected)

Fourth year (33° cycle)
- Before the end ot the fourth year students have to present the original results in their doctoral thesis work. They will have to defend the final version of the doctoral thesis and obtain the Graduation Board approval
