Fees, deadlines and methods of payment

On this webpage you will find all information related to housing fees, deadlines and methods for the payment of the housing fees for the a.y. 2021-22.

Housing fees

The housing fees for the Bocconi Residence Halls vary according to the type of room assigned and to the economic condition of the student’s family household. 

The standard assignment period (August 21, 2021 - June 27, 2022) meets the academic needs of most students. The assignment for the month of July 2022 can be specifically requested and paid separately by those who need it. A special application to request the assignment for the month of July 2022 will be available from 10 to 20 February 2022.

Students who meet the economic requirements (ISEE/ISEEU and ISPE/ISPEU parameters) foreseen by the Region of Lombardy for the access to the benefits of the Right to University Education for a.y. 2020-21 may request the assignment of a room at reduced rate. For the reduced rate fee, 3 different ISU brackets (1st, 2nd and 3rd) are foreseen, depending on the ISEE/ISEEU values indicated on the ISEE/ISEEU Parificato Certificate submitted at the moment of the application.

For all other students the full rate is applied.

Housing fees amounts are divided into installments as follows:

Residual assignments for periods shorter than those foreseen for the annual assignments have a specific payment schedule: the deadlines will be communicated when the room is assigned.

With reference to the due housing fees in case of temporary sublease, we ask you check this webpage (link).

*The payment of the first installment and the online check-in procedure are mandatory in order to enter the residences.

**the payment for the month of July will be added to this installment in case the student will request to extend his/her assignment period also for July 2022, by submitting the dedicated online application in February 2022.

Methods of payment

Payment of housing fees may be completed by using the MAV bank forms. These forms can be printed online and are available in the "Financial Situation-PAYMENTS" section in yoU@B agenda.

MAV bank forms for housing fees will be available a few weeks before the payment deadline. In case of residual assignments, MAV bank forms will be available immediately after confirming the assignment.

Please note that no changes to MAV forms are allowed.

Payments by MAV may be made through any bank in Italy or online through an Italian home banking system or through the "Scrigno Pago Facile" service. Please remember that the student's badge, if activated for financial services, could be useful for foreign students in order to do MAV payments. For further information, please refer to Banca Popolare di Sondrio.

Payments made through different methods will not be considered valid and will cause substantial delays and interruptions in the registration process and possible commissions withheld by the bank, which will be charged to the student.

The MAV slip for the payment of the housing 1st installment will be available for students with annual assignment and residual assignment received in June/July only after the enrollment to a.y. 2021-2022.

Therefore, students enrolled in years after the first are advised to complete the enrollment to the a.y. 2021-2022 by July in order to have enough time to pay the first housing installment before the check-in.

Lastly, for students enrolled in the first year the MAV slip will be available in yoU@B agenda starting from the last week of July.

After completion of payment, it is necessary to upload the receipt of payment in the check-in procedure.

Consequences when deadlines are not complied

If the payment does not registered in agenda within 20 days from the deadline specified on the MAV:

  • the assignee student will have to vacate his/her assigned room immediatelyS/he will lose the right to apply for an housing placement for the entire duration of her/his program of studies.


  • her/his academic career will be blocked: s/he will not be able to take exams or access University services; such as the library or the dining hall. The academic career will be released only after the student has submitted proof of payment for the pending fees.
The Fees, Funding and Housing Office reserves the right to exclude from the housing renewal application for the next  academic years those students who do not make the payments on time.
