Early-career research fellowships
These enable researchers to explore and present original research ideas that take new approaches and suggest new solutions to real world social problems. Research should be innovative and break with existing explanatory frameworks so as to address afresh empirical problems with no currently adequate theory or investigative methodology.
Scholars of any nationality based in Europe may apply. They should be within 10 years of a PhD award and have a permanent appointment at an institution of higher education and research. Career breaks may be taken into account.Grants are worth up to €66,000, or GBP equivalent, to buy-out the cost of all teaching and associated administration in the applicant’s home institution for up to one year. Grants for joint applications are worth up to €65,000, or GBP equivalent, for up to one year.
