VISITING PROFESSOR SHORT TERM
A senior Visiting Professor is a Full Professor from a foreign university, or an expert or honorary fellow,
who occupies a top management position in companies or international bodies.
A junior Visiting Professor is an Associate Professor from a foreign university (or, exceptionally, an
Assistant Professor) or an expert or honorary fellow who occupies a mid management position in companies
or international organizations.
Teaching activity:
- from 8-hour to 14-hour teaching module
- from 24-hour to 30-hour teaching module
VISITING PROFESSOR LONG TERM
The Long-Term Visiting Professor may be a Full Professor or an Associate Professor from a foreign
university.
Teaching and research activity within a scientific-academic sector of a specific Department, according to the
following plan:
– six-month position from 25 to 60 lecture hours + research activity;
– one-year position from 65 to 130 lecture hours + research activity.
Teaching Activity including classroom teaching, and also the relevant scientific coordination, in the courses
decided on an annual basis by the Academic Council; the preparation of teaching material; guidance and
assistance to students and the assessment of their knowledge.
Scientific Research Activity performed, including the relevant scientific coordination, in the context of the
research projects developed by the Department of affiliation, aimed at the preparation of papers, reports,
scientific publications.
VISITING PROFESSOR LONG TERM RESEARCH
The Long-Term Research Visiting Professor may be a Full Professor or Associate Professor from a foreign
university having foreign nationality.
Teaching and research activity within a scientific-academic sector of a specific Department.
– Scientific Research Activity performed, including the relevant scientific coordination, in the context of
a Research project assigned by the relevant Department/ Research Center, aimed at the preparation of
papers, reports, scientific publications.
– Teaching Activity including teaching, and also the relevant coordination, in the courses decided by the
Academic Council on an annual basis, for a number of hours from 12 to 24 in each academic year
(annual, six-month or quarterly position); the preparation of teaching material; guidance and assistance to
students, and the assessment of their knowledge.
