Model 231 is a set of principles, provisions and operative procedures that affect the internal functioning of the University as well as the conduct of its external relations.
Italian Law 231/2001 introduced the administrative responsibility requirement, stating that organizations may be held liable for certain crimes of fraud, committed or attempted, by members of senior management and by those working under the direction or supervision of members of senior management.
To comply with Italian law, Università Commerciale L. Bocconi has included their organization, management and control model in the new Model 231.
In order to prevent the risk of committing any crimes cited in the regulations, all faculty and staff personnel as well as by all other subjects who are involved with these parties (clients, students, suppliers, partners, collaborators, etc.) must respect principles and precepts set by the Model 231.
The Model 231 is composed of:
- Organization, management and control model pursuant to Law 231/2001
- Code of conduct
- Forms, etc
The fundamental principles of the Model 231 are:
- Clear definition of roles and responsibilities
- Appropriate financial resources management
