20 October 2022 - Piano Tribute to Ennio Morricone

20 OCTOBER 2022
PIANO TRIBUTE TO
ENNIO MORRICONE
GILDA BUTTÀ and CESARE PICCO

GILDA BUTTÀ, who has been the official interpreter of Maestro Ennio Morricone, performing his soundtracks and playing his entire piano production, and CESARE PICCO, refined and cultured improviser, meet on stage to take us on a musical journey of great emotion, poetry and power. Whether with prepared piano sounds and amusing arrangements, powerful dialogues, or rarefied solo moments, the two artists guide us through highly evocative territory in which emotions and memories resurface as we listen to music that has become part of our most cherished musical heritage.

NOCTURNES ÉLECTRONIQUES
Variations for Disklavier and synthesizers on Frédéric Chopin

by MATTHIEU MANTANUS

Produced by JeansMusicLab, this concert is a liveset on Disklavier, inspired by Chopin's Nocturnes, where the electronic sound of the synths and the console merges with the acoustic sound of the piano, thus creating a soundscape new, fascinating and ambiguous.

MATTHIEU MANTANUS is a swiss pianist, conductor, composer, and popularizer. A graduate of the Lausanne Conservatory, and ex-associate conductor with Lorin Maazel at the Castleton Festival in the United States, he is co-artistic director of the Antonio Mormon International Prize in Milan. In 2013 he founded JeansMusicLab Productions to bring into life multimedia innovative musical shows that often see him sitting at the keyboard. Mixing his classical background and repertoire with new sounds, instruments, and rhythms, Mantanus frees himself from preconceived ideas surrounding classical or electronic music and broadens his musical horizon, exploring unknown sonic territories.

Born near Venice in 2000, BEATRICE and ELEONORA DALLAGNESE began studying the piano at the age of 4. From playing their first notes, they have begun to develop their own distinctive technique, which over time they have refined and perfected, through the symbiosis so common between twins, whilst not detracting from their differences. Among the emerging female talents on the international classical music scene, both as soloists and piano duo, Beatrice and Eleonora believe that classical music is a living gift, to be brought into the world and made available to all. They regularly hold concerts, in Italy and abroad, and have obtained numerous first prizes in International Competitions in Italy, Belgium, Austria, Slovenia, Poland, the Principality of Monaco, and the USA.

CESARE PICCO and TAKETO GOHARA

CESARE PICCO is an improviser and composer-pianist, who has always been an explorer of new sounds and a transversal experimenter in every musical field. He is a composer for soloists and orchestras, and author of special projects related to the art world (Whitney Museum in New York, Hara Museum of Contemporary Art in Tokyo).
