What is a Widget
In computer programming, a widget is an element of a graphical user interface (GUI) that displays an information arrangement changeable by the user, such as a window or a text box.
The defining characteristic of a widget is to provide a single interaction point for the direct manipulation of a given kind of data.
Widgets are basic visual building blocks which, combined in an application, hold all the data processed by the application and the available interactions with this data.
Bocconi Cube Taskbar is a taskbar widget. A taskbar is a term for an application desktop bar which is used to launch and monitor applications.
Bocconi Cube Taskbar is the first real 3D widget able to concentrate most user functions in a single object, creating an extraordinary user experience.
Four faces of the Cube are completely customizable with user applications:
- Face name
- Up to 9 pushbutton applications
One face is customizable to receive up to 8 RSS feeds
The Search face is not customizable. This face allows to search directly on Google, Yahoo and Wikipedia.
