Summer School Stories

Past Summer School students share their experience, three weeks of intensive study (and fun) in Milan. Check out:

  • a gallery and other pictures taken during the various activities, lectures and talks with entrepreneurs, company visits, an Italian cooking class and the closing ceremony
  • our videos and clips from our students in which they talk about the program and show you the Bocconi campus and the city of Milan.
TAKE THEIR WORD FOR IT

My favorite day? When we visited Gucci in Florence: it was a nice trip and I could understand how many things are behind a fashion product, like a leather handbag.

I loved making a new group of friends who were cosmopolitan, intelligent and motivated. Though we only spent 4 weeks together, it feels like I've know them for years. Bocconi Summer School was the experience of a lifetime!

Living in Milan for three weeks and traveling throughout Italy on the weekends was one of the best parts of my summer.

For one thing, Milan is the luxury capital of the world. This is the first time I’ve been here and I must say it’s pretty awesome. Beside the practical lessons and the company visits, I really enjoyed the extracurricular activities, most of all the cooking experience, when we learned how to cook traditional Italian street food.

What I’ve appreciated most about this Summer School is the connection with the real world. We learned about strategic theory and market strategy, and we had the opportunity to implement it right away and to have a direct experience during company visits.

"One of the best things about the Bocconi Summer School is that the environment is so multi-cultural with students and professors coming from all over the world. I also liked the schedule, with lectures with guest speakers, company visits and cooking classes too!"

"What I liked most about the Bocconi Summer School were the company visits: we went to Franciacorta Wineries, SMEG and we visited a small producer of Parmigiano Reggiano cheese. The professors were also great: they took the time to explain and made sure everyone could fully understand"

"What I liked most about the Bocconi Summer School was that lessons were so practical and some lectures were held by important guest speakers, such as the Marketing Director Italy of MAC Cosmetics. I was also really impressed by the campus, it’s new and huge!"
