ICT supports the entire university community. All services are personalized according to each user profile: academic staff, students and non-teaching staff. The Operative support office is in charge of the organizational management of student computer labs, the tutoring service, the supervision of making sure equipment functions correctly, the Help Desk service, and connecting student laptops to the University network.
The Help Desk service was activated in particular with the aim of rationalizing and improving the management of information and assistance requests concerning user software. Service operators have specific skills and competencies that ensure quick and effective problem solving.
The service works in the following manner:
- receive user requests;
- provide consultancy over the phone and, where possible, an immediate solution through remote management of the user PC;
- forward any requests for onsite assistance to the specific assistance group.
