LEARNING OBJECTIVES

The educational objective of the Master of Science in Discipline economiche e sociali / Economic and social sciences is to develop advanced interdisciplinary competences and skills necessary to operate professionally in the socio-economic field.The educational program provides students with advanced knowledge in economics, economic history, sociology and political science, in quantitative tools and legal disciplines aimed at market regulations.

Specifically the objective of the course is to provide a solid preparation in applied and theoretic economics, to understand the key aspects of the present and future social and economic systems both in their main characteristics and their evolution.The program provides tools for both quantitative and qualitative analysis in order to reach this goal.Knowledge is also acquired through interactive teaching methods.

The program is geared to students with a background in economics, business or finance who wish to specialize in socio-economic topics, using advanced quantitative methods.The program is also geared to students with a background in mathematics and statistics.
